Teboho Motseki

Teboho Motseki (37) is a passionate man whose name is synonymous with HIV activism in his community of Botshabelo, 70 km east of Bloemfontein.
He was diagnosed with HIV in 2008. He says that he wasn’t surprised about the diagnosis since he had multiple partners and would seldom use protection with them. At first the diagnosis didn’t bother him until he started falling sick. That was the turning point. He decided to visit the local clinic where he was advised to start treatment immediately.
Since then he has been living a healthy lifestyle which involves fitness, staying with a single partner and always using a condom. He is a well-known activist who usually speaks at community events about HIV and gender-based violence.
