Gladwell ignores Zama’s calls. He is desperate for help after getting his HIV test results but is ignored by Nomfundo and Pro Siz. He discloses his status to Thaps who reveals that he has been HIV + for 15 years, and that his wife and children are negative. Bra Thaps explains treatment and viral suppression and that he can fetch his pills easily at Phila Collect. He encourages Gladwell to initiate treatment immediately. We learn that Zama is in clinic and is pregnant.

Gladwell is upset that Nomfundo is giving him the cold shoulder and not returning his calls. He sees Zama walking and offers her a ride home. He gives her money for a calculator she needs for school. She is very fond of him. Lerato spends more and more time with her colleague Mo and he asks her out to dinner but she refuses. Nomfundo complains about Gladwell to her friends.

In this episode Nomfundo hosts a youth event to celebrate her new single. She tells the youth that she made mistakes on the road to success. Although she is HIV negative, she is not happy with herself that she had a relationship with an older man and she used her sexuality to get what she wanted. She wishes now that she had the confidence to do it on her own. Bra Thaps encourages the youth to take advantage of the opportunities they have and to know their status to take control of their lives. Since Gladwell has disclosed his status to the church, Lerato is thinking of doing the same.

Gladwell decides to sell his car to have enough money to support Zama and to get out of debt. He bumps into Nomfundo, whose song is now a big hit. She tells him she is HIV negative. Gladwell discloses his status to the congregation at church. He discusses his feelings about the decisions he’s made and how he is coping with his status. He offers support to anyone who needs it and urges others not to make the same mistakes he has. Bra Thaps is still upset but comes round and supports Gladwell, teaching him about the necessity to be adherent.

In this episode Nomfundo is drinking heavily. She is scared to go and test after Gladwell’s disclosure; even though they did not have unprotected sex. Lerato discloses that she is HIV positive to Mo, but is sure he is OK because they used a condom. Mo starts a fight with Gladwell and Lerato goes to take care of Gladwell. She tells him about Mo, and he is shocked. He learns that she has sexual and emotional needs that he was not meeting. Lerato and Gladwell decide to initiate treatment and support each other with adherence. Lerato still has not decided if she will stay with him or not.

Things are not looking good on the home front. Lerato feels the pressure of being responsible for the children, her husband’s insensitivity and unpaid bills. We’re introduced to Lerato’s co-worker Mo. Gladwell and Numfundo decide to meet up and discuss her music career.
