Elias Mamobolo

Elias Mamabolo spent almost two decades doing what he loved best – teaching at a local school in his home town of Polokwane. It was in 1996 when he first tested for HIV. This was after a few visits to the clinic where he was treated for an STI.
He never thought he could be living with HIV till he tested.
He felt that the world was against him. The feeling didn’t last long though. He made it his mission to stop the spread of the disease by joining a community support group which educates people about HIV prevention and encourage those living with the disease to start treatment.
