Brothers For Life mourns its ambassador John “Shoes” Moshoeu
Brothers for Life is distraught about the passing of its ambassador, John Shoes Moshoeu
Mosheou was one of the first well known personalities who endorsed Brothers for Life as a men’s health and wellbeing movement during its early days.
His involvement in the Brothers for Life campaign included mobilising men to Yenzakahle – to take responsibility for their own health, to test for HIV and to be ambassadors for positive male norms through reducing gender-based violence.
Thanks to his efforts and the work of other South African men from all walks of life, we now have millions of men who are proud to be Brothers for Life and who do the right thing.
Brothers for Life Programme Manager Mogale Mashiapata, one of the creators of the campaign says that Shoes was one of the rarest and greatest talents South Africa has ever produced.
His love for people and his willingness to wrok towards our health and wellbeing is one of so many things that this life has given South African. Shoes will be remembered for his contribution not only in football but the many lives he has touched as Brothers for Life ambassador”
Brothers for Life sends its heartfelt condolences to the Moshoeu family, the South African Football Association and the entire football fraternity during this difficult time.
Rest in Peace, Shoes. We give thanks for your life, and we will miss you.
