Alfred Molatudi

When Alfred Molatudi attended the launch of the Lesbian, Gay, Transgender and Bisexual Initiative in Mangaung in 2015 where he tested HIV positive, he was there to do what he loved best- adding his voice in the fight against discrimination of gay men and lesbians.
Molatudi who was born and bred in Botshabelo, outside Bloemfontein, was shocked as his previous tests had been negative. He couldn’t believe the outcome but fortunately for him he had had an experience of living with his sister who was HIV positive.
Although he lost his sister to HIV, he felt that in 2015, HIV was manageable since there was treatment.
Not only does he look after himself but his story of living with HIV is touching many lives as he mobilises people to test for HIV in his community.
